One of the first things you’ll want to think about when starting your van conversion search is if you want a new or used model. Everyone will have a different reason on why, but this determines where you’ll search for your rig.

Facebook Marketplace
Facebook Marketplace has it all! New, used, ProMasters, Sprinters, Volkswagens… the list goes on!
One thing to keep in mind is how you are insuring your rig. If you are going to keep the van registered and titled as a standard auto, you should still insure the vehicle as a camper, so that everything inside is covered. Some insurance companies will not insure a DIY build, and will only offer insurance on a rig that is professionally built.
